# Schools360

> Independent, data-driven assessment of Australian private schools. Every score, ranking and tier is computed from public information — enrolment and academic data, school websites, strategic plans, staff and alumni sentiment, and media reporting — never a form a school fills in about itself.

## Dataset

Schools360 assesses 566+ private (non-government) schools across every Australian state and territory: Catholic, Anglican, Christian, Jewish, Islamic, Uniting Church and non-denominational, boys, girls and co-educational, metropolitan and regional, day and boarding. Rankings are published in editions; a published ranking is frozen once released and only changes at the next edition, never retroactively.

## The framework

Every school is scored across five building blocks, each the average of three factors scored out of 20:

The five weighted building-block percentages combine into one Schools360 (S360) score out of 100.

## The tier ladder

Every school's S360 score places it in one of five tiers. Every tier name describes a genuine strength — there is no failing grade on Schools360, and none will be introduced.

| Leading | 72.5% to 80% |
| Trusted | 65% to 72.5% |

## Pages

- School profiles (`/schools/{slug}`): one per assessed school — tier, score, building-block breakdown, ranking positions, and (where the school supplies it) school-provided content, always separated from and clearly labelled apart from the independent assessment.
- Rankings (`/rankings/{state}/{cohort}`): ordered lists within a state, nationally, or within a cohort (gender, affiliation, boarding, regional).
- Elite Schools (`/best-private-schools/{building-block}/{state|national}`): every school reaching Elite tier on a single building block, unordered — appearing on the list is the claim.

## Independence

School-supplied content never affects a score, a rank or a tier, and is always visually and structurally separated from the Schools360 assessment on every page it appears.
